Emran Hussain (834), 17th batch

Architected and programmed this website. In 2001, first hosted a demo unofficial website for OCAS/Sylhet Cadet College under a domain name provided by a free hosting provider (geocities.com). Later, Iftekhar Biplob (827) of 17th batch came up with the idea of capturing the domain name "SylhetCadetCollege.org" and hosting the website. We were lucky that we could easily get the domain name and registered. Later, this website was given official recognition from OCAS. After that, added some more functional features like Discussion boards, Cadets Directory, News, Photo Album etc and continuously working on this website for maintenance and updating the features and trying to match the latest technologies as much as possible.

Technology Used : ASP.NET 3.5 with C#.NET 3.0, Microsoft SQL Server 2005, AJAX (in some pages), ADOBE FLASH CS3 with ActionScript 3.0, ASP.NET/XML Web Services.

Iftekhar Biplob (827), 17th batch

Iftekhar is the one who first came up with the domain name idea (in 2001) of "sylhetcadetcollege.org" and sponsored for the cost for the domain name and hosting. He is so much enthusiast about this website that, he promoted this site a lot among his social circles and time to time he provided ideas that can be implemented and brought better means of communications among ex cadet brothers.
