Dear All,

Regards. Members of OCAS in Canada held their “Get-together” for OCAS Canada in Toronto, Canada. It was a time well-spent. The gathering was large when put in right perspective. Almost 60 head counts that included about 20 families plus bachelors and of course our lovely prince and princess.

We would like to extend out heartiest thanks to all the families who made it through their busy schedule. It was amazing to see the laughter and hugs all around. Many met after almost decade. Many met for the first time and still the spirit that prevailed defied logic. It was amazing to see people never meeting before behaved as if they knew each other for a long – long time. That is OCAS.

Our special thanks to all the families who drove a long stretch from Ottawa, Montreal, Windsor. Thanks to Naseem and family, Saif and family, Rokon and family, and of course Emran.

Zaved Bhai from 2^nd and Zia Bhai from 3^rd was an inspiration all along. The members from 4^th, Nakib Bhai, Arif Bhai, Siraj Bhai, Azad Bhai were amazing with their spontaneous support. Without their backing the program would not have seen light. Thank you.

Mosharraf Bhai from 5^th was a great hand in ensuring success all along the way. Thank you Mosharraf Bhai and of course you Baroda Bhai for the beautiful song that you dared to sing. Had it not been for Mosharraf Bhais plea “Rimon – Tomar Bhabi kintu shundor gaan kore. Ami bolle boka khabo, tomra bolle she will sing” – we would have been deprived of the lovely tunes. Bonoful and Srabonis presence was a fresh breath of air. And we can’t thank enough to both of them for entertaining us with their lovely melodious song. And when it comes to singing, we can’t thank Karim Bhai enough, for, it was he who lent his support and harmonium that made the evening tune possible. Thank you. Momtaz Bhai and Ashraf Bhai made sure we hear the message. The message was loud and clear. We want more. More of this spirit! And have, we will. Zia Bhai offered to host the next get together some time in December in his house.

Let us join our hand together for applauding the great work donw by some special people without whom this program would not have been possible. Ahmed from 12^th ensured that we had the background music. Robin from 12^th ensured that none was without transportation. Thank you. We want more from you in future.

Russel not only gave his brain but heart that resulted in sweat when he had to arrange the whole banquet hall in a nice and befitting manner. When we ran short of hands, it was Zunaid who almost immediately rush to our rescue. He and Rokon re-kindled a strong emotion by ensuring that the background had the monogram that we are so familiar with. Our college monogram. I have no idea where from he pulled out that magic.

And how could we end not thanking Sohel from 17^th batch. Even though he was the almost lone bachelor, not really but pretended to be one, he ensured that none of the Bhabis were allowed to check in without a lovely rose. Ahmed, Zunaid, Sohel, all ensured that the memories are captured in celluloid and it will be soon up here for all to see.

Our heartiest congratulation to Zunaid and Priyanka, and Himel and Noureen. Our prayer and blessing for their journey together, going ahead. I am positive, to see their hubbys belonging to such a great institution like SCC, and of course OCAS, will make them feel good.

Our party started at around 6:30 and it lasted all the way till 1:00 a.m. at night when the last man left. But before leaving we ensured that we had our small chat session where we charted out future path and the way to move forward.

Time will tell how good will that be but for now I will immerse myself recklessly in the thought of coming days that will make us stronger, bring us closer, make us feel better. Whether it be or not, who cares! Now is the time to relish in the moment, let future be where it ought to be.
