From where I should start my write up? The huge gathering of OCASIANS? The Chief Guest? The Special Guest? The Smiriticharons of Teachers, Ex-cadets? The Adda? The appreciation from other cadet college’s brothers? The Food? Or the Music?

However, let me give you some brief about the event in time sequence.

The first part of program was scheduled to be started at 4.30. But, due to drizzling it started little late. 28th Batch’s brothers came just in time. Then one by one brothers from different batches started to come. Initially, I personally thought that the gathering will not cross 400 people. However within 6.00; I found out about 300 people were inside the venue. Aminul, the GS, started the program by introducing the EC and gave a brief about the program. Then he straight invited 1st batch on stage to share their memories about CC time. Then our teachers namely Jasibur Rahman Sir, Rafique Kaiser Sir, Mynuddin Sir and other few teachers went to stage to bring their memories. Rafique Kaiser Sir gave a splendid speech (although AMAKE ABONG ARIK KE POCHAYE DIYECHE). Everybody enjoyed all the speeches as those were full of lots of fun elements.

We were indeed surprised when our Chief Guest AMA Muhith, the Finance Minister came just in right dot. He came at 6.30. Our Special Guest BB Governor Dr. Atiur Rahman came at 6.50. Then Aminul called Chief Guest, Special Guest, Shams Bhai, Kafee Bhai and Muktadir Bhai on stage to deliver their speeches. Due to our strong networking BTV, ETV, Channel I, ATN Bangla, NTV, RTV, Bangla Vision, Baishakhi TV channels covered this news. Radio Foorty, the FM Radio Channel also live telecasted the program. I personally have seen Bangla Vision and Baishakhee news later at midnight. I am sure those who could not participate the event have seen the news on TV. Bangla Vision has recorded the whole program and would telecast in 2 weeks. I will let you know, when they will telecast the musical show.

However, before the speeches of the guests 28th Batch were formally received by OCAS. Chief Guest and Special Guest gave a Flower Stick to welcome them in our organization. After that all the speakers delivered their speeches.

Then everybody enjoyed the beautiful Singara of CCCL along with Tea/Coffee sponsored by Pusti (thanks to Haider of 18th batch). At that time the whole Tennis Ground were full. Later we have calculated and there were more than 300 Ex-cadets with their families (total about 550) were attended the program. Including the guest’s total no. of attendees were about 700 persons.

However, after that Dalchhut came on the stage and started their performance with their hit song ‘PARI’. Then they sung about their 12 hit songs. We really enjoyed the beautiful dances of our young brothers. At that time we distributed Ice Cream to all attendees; thanks to Amir Bhai and Mustafiz Bhai for organizing it very efficiently. Thanks to IGLOO also, it was probably one of our Bhaia, who arranged the free ice cream.

After the performance of Dalchhut, Dinner was served. It was Kachchi Biriyani and I tell you it was one of the best. All the attendees liked the food very much. Thanks to Shahnoor Bhai for bringing the Cook from Old Dhaka. Then guests from other CCs came on stage to share their feelings. Renowned Banker Mamunur Rashid Bhai and Mazed Bhai delivered beautiful speech. President and GS of FCC, PCC, BCC, MGCC also gave small speeches. All the speakers talked very high about OCAS. They mentioned that it was probably one of the best program organized by any CC at CCCL. Then Tofayel of 10th entertain us with his great humorous speech.

After all these, Samina Chowdhury came on stage and start performing with her sweet voice. Everybody present were totally silent and really floating on the wave of music. How can a singer attached with the audience, we again realized; when all the kids went to stage to sing with Samina. You will see all the moments in Bangla Vision TV, when it will be telecasted.

The program ended at around 11.45pm. All the OCASIANS were extremely delighted by seeing such an exciting, well-organized beautiful event. I felt really bad when I saw none of the members from 6 batches came to the program. As Rimon Bhai has mentioned, it might take some time to overcome the bad experience happened in 2008, but all of us are confident that the present EC will be able to bring those brothers back in the mainstream of OCAS. Its matter of some time only. All of us must understand that it is our organization and we can’t let it down. We need to come out from our small personal interest. You ask anybody about my contribution for this event, but do I really care for any post? Do Shams Bhai, Masud Razzak Bhai, Muktadir Bhai, Khalil Bhai cared for any post; as far as I know they have huge contribution for this event.

However, at the end; I must say that we should all thank to our brothers, who attended the event and make it a great success. Thanks to EC members especially Kafee Bhai, Amir Bhai, Shahnoor Bhai, Mustafiz Bhai, Razu Bhai, Aminul, Enam, Shishir, Kawsar and others to work extremely hard for this event to make it grand success. I am sure they will work more harder to unite the OCAS, as it was before.

Finally I should again say that my family has experienced an unforgettable Evening.
